Position Overview
This leadership role drives the safe, efficient, and strategic execution of capital work across the province. The Contracts Manager oversees contracting strategies, project delivery, contractor performance, and team leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement in safety, quality, and operational excellence.
In this role, you will :
- Lead Contracting Strategy : Develop and manage contracting strategies for major construction projects.
- Oversee Project Execution : Ensure successful delivery of capital projects by managing risks, budgets, schedules, and contractor performance.
- Manage Teams : Lead a team of managers and supervisors overseeing contractor crews.
- Ensure Safety & Quality : Develop and implement contractor safety and quality assurance programs.
- Coordinate Workload & Resources : Maintain project schedules and ensure contractor availability.
- Drive Compliance & Governance : Ensure contract assignments align with corporate policies.
- Travel Across the Province : Support operations and teams throughout the FortisBC service territory.
