About the Opportunity
A premier manufacturing and fabrication facility in Morinville is seeking dedicated, experienced Welders for immediate, long-term employment.

We are not looking for temporary shutdown or seasonal coverage. We have an extensive backlog of projects booked solid straight through July and well into the future, with the clear intent to bring team members on permanently. If you want steady hours, strong compensation, and job security close to home, this is the shop for you.

Top-Tier Pay: $39.00 to $40.00 per hour depending on qualifications and testing

Incentive Bonuses: Regular, performance-based bonus opportunities throughout the year.

True Job Stability: Guaranteed continuous shop work with zero seasonal downtime.

Permanent Placement: Full-time shop hours with consistent overtime opportunities.

Comprehensive Benefits: Extended health, dental, and vision coverage after probationary period.

Responsibilities
Perform high-quality structural and custom fabrication welding (primarily MCAW / GMAW / SMAW) to shop specifications and CWB/ASME standards.

Interpret complex blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings accurately.

Fit, position, clamp, and prep components prior to final welding.

Operate overhead cranes, grinders, torches, and standard metal fabrication equipment.

Inspect finished welds for quality, dimension, and integrity to minimize rework.

Maintain a clean, organized work area and strictly adhere to all shop safety protocols.

Qualifications
Certification: Journeyperson Welder ticket (Red Seal or Alberta Journeyman) strongly preferred; experienced apprentices with proven shop fabrication experience may be considered.

Valid Tickets: Current or previous CWB tickets are an asset.

Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of structural steel or heavy manufacturing shop welding.

Blueprint Reading: Strong ability to read, interpret, and work independently from shop drawings.

Reliability: Valid driver’s license and dependable personal transportation to Morinville.

Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended shifts, and work safely in a fast-paced shop environment.

Summary
If you are a skilled welder looking to lock down a permanent, well-paying shop role with an active bonus program, we want to hear from you.
