Merit Services, a leading provider of accounting and financial services, is excited to announce an outstanding opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Investment Banker to join its esteemed client’s team in Toronto. This role offers a unique chance for a skilled professional to contribute to high-profile transactions and strategic advisory services in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As an Investment Banker with Merit Services, you will play a pivotal role in providing expert financial advice and executing complex transactions.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Financial Advisory : Provide strategic financial advice for mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and corporate finance activities.
Deal Execution : Conduct due diligence, financial analysis, and valuation modeling. Prepare marketing materials and coordinate cross-functional teams for successful deal closure.
Market Research : Analyze industry trends and competitive landscapes. Evaluate financial statements and market data to identify investment opportunities.
Financial Modeling and Valuation : Develop complex financial models and perform comprehensive valuation analysis.
Client Relationship Management : Build and maintain strong client relationships. Deliver customized financial solutions and exceptional client service.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure adherence to laws, regulations, and industry standards throughout the deal execution process.

QUALIFICATIONS :

Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or related field. Advanced degrees such as MBA or CFA are desirable.

Minimum five years of experience in investment banking or corporate finance.

Strong financial modeling and analytical skills. Proficiency in Excel and financial software.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.

Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in investment banking.
