Our client is seeking an experienced and relationship-oriented Clinical Trials Manager to oversee the operational delivery of a busy clinical research site. This role is ideal for a leader who thrives in a hands-on environment, understands the complexities of site-level trial execution, and is committed to ensuring high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered research.

As the Clinical Trials Manager, you will provide oversight across a portfolio of ongoing studies, lead and mentor a team of Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs), and serve as the primary liaison for sponsors, CROs, and external vendors. You will play a critical role in driving study start-up, maintaining inspection readiness, optimizing trial workflows, and ensuring strong financial and regulatory stewardship as trial volume continues to grow.

Responsibilities:

• Lead all phases of clinical trial operations (start-up through close-out) in compliance with ICH-GCP, Health Canada requirements, and site SOPs.
• Manage and develop the CRC team, including hiring, onboarding, training, workload planning, and performance management.
• Oversee and negotiate study budgets and monitor financial performance, invoicing, and accounts receivable.
• Serve as the primary operational contact for sponsors, CROs, and vendors, representing the site in meetings, monitoring visits, and audits.
• Ensure documentation integrity and inspection readiness, monitor enrollment and protocol compliance, support regulatory/ethics submissions, and provide hands-on study coverage as needed.

Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of clinical research experience, including at least 5 years in a management or leadership role overseeing CRCs, along with prior hands-on experience as a site-based Clinical Research Coordinator.
• Strong understanding of ICH-GCP, Health Canada regulations, trial workflows, and site operations.
• Proven ability to manage concurrent studies, budgets, timelines, and regulatory documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with confidence engaging external partners.
• Highly organized, adaptable, and effective in a fast-paced, hands-on research environment.
