Paid vacation days Term : in-person; full-time About Us Myo Palate is a biotechnology company developing sustainable meat products. We nurture cells to make meat, instead of growing the entire animal. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Research Associate to join our dynamic team. This individual will play a key role in advancing our R&D efforts by leveraging their expertise in analytical chemistry and cell culture techniques. The ideal candidate will be proficient in advanced analytical tools such as spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, and chromatography, as well as experienced in executing and planning cell culture projects. This role requires a combination of hands-on laboratory work and strategic project management. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, dedicated, and passionate about their work. The position will also require proper documentation of results, being well organized and flexibility in working with other members of the team. Responsibilities Analytical Chemistry Perform advanced analytical testing using techniques such as LC-MS, HPLC, and Raman spectroscopy. Develop and validate analytical methods to support product development and quality assurance. Develop chemometric models of biological systems. Analyze and interpret complex datasets to draw actionable insights. Maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate analytical equipment. Cell Culture Operations Plan, execute, and optimize mammalian cell culture experiments. Maintain cell lines, including passaging, feeding, freezing, and thawing cells. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate analytical data with cell culture outcomes. General Keep detailed laboratory records and generate experiment reports. Collect samples and perform basic molecular characterization (e.g., DNA Extraction, PCR, immunostaining). Adhere to all applicable SOP’s, safety and good laboratory practices. Collaborate with senior scientists. Assist in training junior staff and promoting knowledge sharing within the team. Qualifications Required Master’s degree or equivalent in analytical chemistry, biotechnology, cell biology, or a related field; candidates with a bachelor’s degree and significant relevant experience will also be considered. Expertise in analytical chemistry techniques such as LC-MS, HPLC, and Raman spectroscopy. Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and related protocols. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Experience in a biotech or pharmaceutical setting. Competency in data analysis software (e.g., GraphPad, MATLAB). Familiarity with statistical computing (e.g., R, Python) and command-line tools. Previous experience designing and managing independent research projects.
