Job description

About us :

At Tall Tree, you’ll join an award-winning clinic focused on exceptional integrated healthcare. We’re a diverse team that is endlessly nerdy— we love learning, teaching, and keeping up to date with the latest research. We’re the most multidisciplinary and comprehensive team in private healthcare in BC; we put each client at the center of this with our goal to match everyone with the right clinician or team of clinicians. We take pride in our passionate clinicians, inspiring and uplifting facilities, high-quality health services, and exceptional customer service. We’re committed to delivering healthcare in the best possible way— and we have a singular culture of respect, warmth, curiosity and enthusiasm that makes being a part of the Tall Tree team something to be truly proud of.

As an employer, we aim to be the top choice in healthcare in BC. We want to be the only place you'd want to work. Our workplaces are amazing, both physically and socially, and we offer all the usual perks. But we also invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in education for our team every year. We believe that when our team members are happy and engaged, they're better equipped to deliver exceptional patient care.

About the role :

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor at Tall Tree Health, you're joining more than just a clinic—you'll be part of one of BC’s most comprehensive private multidisciplinary healthcare teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to practice within our integrated care model, where your expertise in mental health and counselling is a key part of a collaborative approach to patient wellness.

You'll work alongside a diverse team of professionals—including physiotherapists, kinesiologists, chiropractors, and massage therapists—creating opportunities for interdisciplinary collaboration and holistic patient care. This is a unique chance to be part of building something from the ground up and shaping mental health services within a dynamic, growing clinic

What makes this role special is our commitment to your growth and development. You'll have access to regular mentorship, funded continuing education, and a supportive community of healthcare practitioners who share your passion for evidence-based care. Whether you're helping a client navigate anxiety, supporting someone through a life transition, or integrating mental health strategies into a broader treatment plan, you'll have the resources and team support to provide exceptional care.

If you're looking to practice counselling the way it should be done—with the time to build meaningful client relationships, a focus on evidence-based therapy, and the support of a multidisciplinary team—this is your opportunity.

Hours and availability : We have a mix of evenings and mornings available, and can be flexible with the schedule depending on your preference. There is an opportunity to begin on a part-time basis, and increase to more full-time as your caseload grows!

Anticipated start date : March - April 2026

Compensation :

Registered Clinical Counsellors working full-time (5 days per week) can expect to earn $110,000–$150,000+ annually .

The fee split for this role ranges from 52% to 62% , depending on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

As a Registered Clinical Counsellor at Tall Tree, you will :

  • Provide client-centered therapy. Assess and treat individuals using evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to their needs, including CBT, ACT, EMDR, or other approaches within your scope.
  • Work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team . You'll coordinate care with Physiotherapists, Kinesiologists, Occupational Therapists, Chiropractors, and more when an integrated approach is beneficial for client outcomes.
  • Engage with external stakeholders. You'll collaborate with third-party insurance providers, employers, and other relevant professionals while maintaining clear, accurate, and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
  • Commit to continuous growth. You’ll stay up to date with the latest research, therapeutic advancements, and best practices to ensure clients receive the highest standard of care.

We’re looking for :

  • Someone qualified to practice clinical counselling in British Columbia. You are a member of the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors. Ideally, you have 2+ years experience in private practice.
  • Clinical Excellence : You have a strong foundation in evidence-based practice and a commitment to mastering skills. You hold a profound respect for the complexity of human experience.
  • A commitment to growth : You have a deep passion for learning and continuous growth and development. You bring an openness to exploring new ideas and approaches to service delivery.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills : You have a proven ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team. You communicate clearly and effectively, whether you're speaking, listening, or writing. You use precise language, compelling reassurance, healing narratives, and consistent messages.
  • Enthusiasm for teaching : You love sharing knowledge and can help mentor colleagues.
  • Humility and curiosity : You have an eagerness to learn and collaborate.
