Associate Director, Clinical Services Toronto, OntarioReference No. CG-CDI-7559Meridia Recruitment Solutions has partnered with Child Development Institute, to recruit the Associate Director, Clinical Services. The Associate Director is responsible for conceptualizing and delivering CDI programs and services that align with the organization's mission, values, policies, procedures, standards, and priorities. Providing steadfast leadership to achieve service excellence and a quality professional environment, the incumbent will take a leadership role in change management improving models of care, bringing science into practice, and making care collaborative and accessible. Reporting to the Director, Clinical Services, the Associate Director will be a change agent keeping the families served at the center and making clinical and programming decisions that will support that vision. Clinical Managers in Family Violence Services, Learning Disabilities & Mental Health, and Family & Community Counselling will role up to this position with a team of approximately 25 clinical team members. The Associate Director will work collaboratively with the Director Clinical Services, the greater clinical services team and staff. They will participate in the People Manager Team, Clinical Managers Group, and Collaborative Leadership Table, to manage operational issues and contribute to the strategic vision and direction of the agency. This role is an excellent opportunity for someone that is already making small or large changes within their current system to make large impacts clinically, operationally, organizationally and municipally. A focus and major pillar of practice at CDI is the implementation of measurement-based care by routinely collecting assessment data that is discussed with clients and families to measure progress and inform treatment decisions. This coupled with evidence-based strategies will improve best practices and positive client outcomes. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : Embraces and operates within the agency’s vision, mission, values, and goals.Ensures clinical practices are evidence-informed, align with ethical and professional standards, focus on families, and are congruent with the agency's mission and direction.Ensures seamless and responsive access to services for children, youth, and families.Collaborates with Clinical Managers to facilitate clinical service coordination and efficient operations.Handles elevated client concerns and complaints effectively.Assists in monitoring service volume against approved agency standards and anticipates emerging service patterns, issues, and needs.Contributes to the development of clinical policies and procedures as necessary.Contributes to enhancing processes, practices, and the efficiency of service delivery.Provides leadership in risk management related to service delivery.Supports Clinical Management in Accreditation and continuous quality improvement processes.Leads assigned staff through performance management and development processes to encourage staff contributions in line with agency policies and service standards.Collaborates with Human Resources in recruitment, hiring, training, and onboarding clinical services staff while ensuring the delivery of quality services.Supports and establishes continuous professional development plans for clinical services.Organizes scheduling and coverage for service delivery as needed.Approves expenditures within procedural requirements and manages allocated financial resources.Maintains updated knowledge of relevant clinical theory, models, practices, and research.Participates in program development planning, research activities, and ongoing service evaluation.Assists in obtaining funding through proposals, partnerships, and contracts to achieve agency goals.Ensures a healthy and safe workplace for staff and clients according to the Occupational Health and Safety Act.Assumes a lead role in additional management-level projects and other assigned duties for the agency's benefit as needed.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS : Master of Social WorkAt least 5+ years of Management experience in the child & youth mental health sectorMinimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in the child & youth mental health sectorRegistration in good standing with a self-regulating CollegeDemonstrated superior knowledge and experience in conducting and supervising evidence-based and evidence-informed individual, group, and family therapy, as well as experience working with diverse communities.Experience in supervising staff, including recruitment, training, evaluation, and performance management.Awareness and knowledge of current issues in children’s mental health, encompassing challenges and opportunities.Strong analytical abilities, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skillsAbility to exercise good judgment and assume responsibility within the scope of this position's authority.Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and team-building skillsCompetencies in leading change management processesStrong work ethic, commitment to quality clinical servicesExceptional communication skills (oral & written)Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.Sensitivity, tact, diplomacy, and professionalism in dealing with people at all times.Excellent organization, time management, and prioritizing skills to handle complex and varied workloads.High level of computer literacy (MS Office Suite, Client management systems)Sound knowledge of relevant legislationCommitment to continuous learning and professional development : supervision, leadership, program development, research (scientist-practitioner model)Ability to work respectfully with groups from diverse backgrounds and experiences.This is a diverse workforce and equal opportunity employer that welcomes applications from all races and genders.
