Who we need Stop Now And Plan (SNAP) is an evidence-based model for children ages 6-11 that provides a framework for teaching children struggling with behaviour issues and their parents effective emotional regulation, self-control and problem-solving skills. The primary goal of SNAP is to keep children in school and out of trouble by helping them make better choices "in the moment."  Reporting to the Senior Manager Early Intervention, SNAP Clinical Programs, we are hiring a Clinical Supervisor to lead our east-end SNAP Clinical Program. You will manage the day-to-day clinical work and performance of the team and ensure that the work  meets our priorities and is consistent with our mission and values. You will foster an environment of excellence that promotes knowledge-sharing and provides expertise that enables the team to provide children and their families the skills to be empowered and overcome obstacles. This role is working full-time onsite, 5 days per week at our 635 Queen Street East location. Who you are You are a registered therapist or Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline. You have extensive clinical therapy experience working with children, adolescents, families, and groups from diverse backgrounds. You have clinical supervisory skills and an exceptional ability to foster trust and influence. You may currently be in private practice, working in a child welfare organization such as Children’s Aid Society, or supervising clinicians delivering school or community-based child & youth mental health programming. As our new Clinical Supervisor, SNAP, you will : Manage the growth and performance of the team. You will recruit, supervise and evaluate Child and Family Workers. You will collaborate with the Senior Manager Early Intervention, SNAP Clinical Programs, to identify needs and provide effective training and leadership to staff that inspires professional aspirations and performance. You will identify gaps and areas for improvement, fostering a culture of ongoing knowledge development in the areas of child development, family functioning, and evidence-based interventions.  Manage clinical work of the team. You will determine scheduling, assign work, and manage caseloads and achievement of key performance indicators that ensure optimal service delivery outcomes. You will apply a range of approaches, formal and informal, individual and group supervision as well as providing observational feedback. You will review clinical work and ensure the quality and professionalism of assessment / treatment plans and interventions. Report. You will monitor and communicate the volume of service delivered against approved agency and ministry standards and anticipate emerging service patterns, issues, and needs. You will participate in the SNAP Clinical Supervisors / Coordinators team and the Clinical People  Managers group to ensure operational practices, standards, and procedures are consistent. You will collaborate with the Senior Manager to monitor and approve expenditures and work plans. Plan. You will work closely with CDI managers to ensure overall coordination and effective agency operations. You will ensure parents and youth feel empowered as a result of  participating in programs that apply mutual-aid philosophies. You will keep the Senior Manager apprised of service delivery issues and recommend relevant changes for consideration. What you bring : Clinical knowledge. You hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline. You are registered with a health professions college, such as the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), the College of Psychologists, or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. You bring a minimum of five years of clinical therapy experience working with children, adolescents, families, and groups, and you are familiar with associated systems, including schools and community agencies. You have demonstrated strong leadership and clinical supervision capabilities and experience in delivering evidence-based interventions. The practical experience. You have a proven track record of working with children and youth facing mental health challenges. You can confidently navigate high-risk, high-emotion situations, employing your clinical expertise to engage in supportive counselling and implement various mental health interventions. Your ability to manage crisis situations is matched by your sensitivity to the unique needs of a public service agency, including the ability to handle interruptions and refocus as necessary. Your calm and patient demeanour allows you to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds, building trust and fostering positive relationships. The communication skills. You have exceptional listening skills and mental attentiveness, able to focus on the needs of individuals or groups to probe, analyze, synthesize, and create true connections and engagement.
