Reporting to the Chief Clinical Informatics Officer, the Clinical Informatics Nurse is responsible for developing and maintaining education materials, delivering training and providing ongoing support for I-CARE and other IMG-supported clinical applications. Through participation on committees, working groups and project teams, the CIN collaborates with others to support projects, process improvement, and mandated initiatives, focusing on system optimization, uptake of best practices, and adoption of I-CARE and IMG-supported clinical applications.

- Provide in-person, telephone, virtual and email supports to physicians, interprofessional clinicians and others in the use of I-CARE and IMG-supported applications.
- Develop workplace supports for the use of I-CARE and IMG-supported applications, such as ‘quick reference cards’, ‘how to’ documents, and videos in alignment with organizational and practice needs.
- Create e-learning tutorials and supports for I-CARE and IMG-supported applications.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver in-person and virtual classroom curriculum.
- Maintain content of training and support websites related to I-CARE education.
- Perform administrative duties as they relate to training and education for the use of I-CARE and IMG-supported applications.
- Provide clinical needs, workflow analysis and design recommendations for various IMG projects.
- Support the use of I-CARE and IMG-supported applications with interprofessional clinical staff through ongoing communication (e.g. newsletter, updates), assessments, and ‘just in time’ support (e.g. in the clinic / on the unit).
- Provide support for special initiatives such as project implementations, system downtimes, external assessments / reviews (Accreditation), etc.
- Work collaboratively with professional practice staff to develop materials and provide training that incorporate both practice standards and functionality as it relates to the use of I-CARE and IMG-supported applications.
You will support a healthy workplace that embraces equity and diversity; encourage teamwork; promote learning and scholarship; and comply with all applicable standards and requirements.
