Job description

Family Physician – OAT/OTP Clinic

Location: Winnipeg, MB (On-site)
Opportunity Types: Locum, Part-time, Full-time, Contract

About the Opportunity

Neobridge Healthcare is building a talent pool of Family Physicians providing OAT for partner clinics in Winnipeg. This is ideal for physicians who enjoy longitudinal care, structured follow-ups, and team-based practice supporting patients with opioid use disorder. Physicians must be eligible for registration and practice in Manitoba through CPSM.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide OAT prescribing and ongoing follow-up care within clinic protocols and recommended practices.
  • Conduct assessments, initiate/continue OAT, and complete regular monitoring and treatment adjustments as needed.
  • Address common comorbidities (mental health, chronic disease, pain, infectious disease screening/referrals as appropriate).
  • Coordinate care with nurse case managers, counselors, peer support, and pharmacy partners.
  • Maintain accurate, timely documentation and support safe prescribing practices.

Qualifications

  • MD with independent practice eligibility/registration in Manitoba (CPSM).
  • Experience with OAT is an asset; willingness to work within structured OAT clinic workflows is essential.
  • Strong clinical judgment, collaborative style, and patient-centered approach.

Nice to Have

  • Background in addictions, ER/hospitalist work, inner-city medicine, or community mental health.
