Role Overview : Our client, a leading building materials manufacturer is opening a brand new facility in the Eastern Fraser Valley to serve the BC and US markets. This hands-on role will focus on overseeing plant setup, managing daily operations, and building a strong team to support long-term growth.Responsibilities : Oversee daily operations of the facility, including plant setup and equipment installation.Manage supply chain, logistics, and vendor relationships.Lead team-building efforts, including hiring and mentoring supervisors and operators.Drive production efficiency and ensure quality standards are met.Monitor safety programs and ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.Manage P&L, controlling costs related to maintenance, consumables, and labor.Support the transition to ISO 9001 and lead process improvements.Qualifications : 5+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment.Proven ability to manage teams, set performance targets, and drive accountability.Experience with data-driven decision-making and root cause analysis.Manufacturing experience with roll-forming, stamping, or similar processes is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus.Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance.
