Camp Supervisor – Theatre – Richmond Hill

The Camp Supervisor – Theatre will plan and develop day‑to‑day programming for the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts Summer Camps. They will supervise Camp Counsellors, provide ongoing direction, supervision and evaluation, assist in orientation, order supplies, and manage administrative duties.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Review and facilitate day‑to‑day programming for specific theatre and before / after camp programs that meet children’s developmental abilities.
• Be on site and available for camp performances.
• Provide knowledge and support for theatre campers and staff.
• Modify programming to ensure inclusion of children with disabilities.
• Ensure a variety of activities that target the camp genre.
• Develop resource material for Camp Counsellors.
• Supervise and evaluate Camp Counsellors.
• Schedule staff for before / after camp programs.
• Maintain camp ratios at all times.
• Collaborate with Camp Volunteers to include them in programs.
• Communicate with participants and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Ensure campers’ safety and security throughout the day.
• Assist in implementing camp training.
• Submit camp staff payroll to the Camp Director in a timely manner.
• Complete accident and incident forms accurately and timely.
• Represent the City of Richmond Hill in a cooperative, organized, enthusiastic and well‑groomed manner.
• Report to work promptly.
• Wear assigned uniform and name tag.
• Attend scheduled staff meetings and training sessions.
• Know and understand Community Services Dept. policies and procedures.
• Maintain excellent public relations with staff and the public.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
