Position Information Position Title Admissions Officer Posting Type Permanent End Date (if applicable) Classification Title PT Support 6 Pay Band 6 Min Salary $26.73 Max Salary $33.45 Position Summary The Admission Officer is responsible for evaluating, accepting, and admitting students (part-time, full-time, funded, international) into any Confederation College offering (program or course). The incumbent provides students, potential students and community agencies with proactive advisement and assistance in support of the College’s strategic commitment to learner centered access. The incumbent must maintain and present accurate and up-to-date knowledge of programs, admission processes, and services of the college. The incumbent is responsible for evaluation, assessment, and maintenance of student records from prospect to application to enrolment. The incumbent works side-by-side with the recruitment side of the department towards common goals. Location/Campus Thunder Bay Campus Education Minimum level of formal education required for the position 2 year diploma or equivalent education Specific course(s), certification, qualification, formal training or accreditation required for the position Additional Requirements Field(s) of Study Business, Social Services Experience Typical number of years of experience, in addition to the necessary education level, required to perform the responsibilities of the position Minimum of three (3) years Type of Experience 3 years of increasing responsibility office experience in a multi-tasked fast-paced environment.
