We are seeking a Manager of Human Resources to join our team.
Our Ideal Candidate
You're a Human Resources (HR) professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and at building genuine relationships with employees and management. You consistently seek ways to enhance and improve outcomes which directly influence the work environment and engagement of employees.
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications :
Undergraduate degree in business with a concentration in Human Resources, or a combined level of education and experience.
7+ years of experience delivering excellence in human resource management.
Strong leadership, coaching, communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Solid business acumen and knowledge of leading-edge HR practices.
Experience in and knowledge of payroll software would be an asset.
Human Resources designation (i.e., CPHR, IPMA) would be an asset.
Key Functions
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President, the Manager of Human Resources is responsible for the development and execution of our HR strategies. As our HR generalist, you will have an understanding of everything HR. You will provide strategic leadership to ensure our efforts and outcomes are fully aligned with business needs for all HR activities. To ensure this, you will :
Stay on top of industry trends, employment legislation, and best practices in HR, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance our HR practices and processes.
Lead all aspects of talent acquisition, including development, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives for the sourcing, recruitment, selection, onboarding, and retention of talent.
Collaborate with and support management through the performance management processes, including the creation of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), skills development initiatives, and our performance review process.
Give strategic advice to leadership and provide insights and recommendations on employee matters including performance, attendance management, conflict resolution and discipline.
Develop, update, and ensure adherence to our human resource policies and procedures.
Ensure our online employee platform is accurate and up to date, including personal files, attendance, leave, and performance records.
Manage our compensation and benefits program, and act as the Group Insurance and Group Retirement Plan Administrator.
Oversee all Occupational Health and Safety Initiatives, ensuring compliance with legislated OH&S and Workplace NL standards.
Maintain a culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the company to strengthen leadership capacity and employee potential.
Act as an ambassador for Munn by always representing and promoting our brand and business in a positive way to our key communities, including customers, prospects, insurance partners, and suppliers.
Be an active and positive contributor to our fantastic culture helping to make Munn a great place to work.
And of course, other duties as required.
