About The Role

110K - $117K plus 17% Superannuation and annual leave loading

Fixed Term – 12 months

Full-time (35 hours per week)

The Research Associate reports to Professor Richard Tilley, with a dotted line to Professor Justin Gooding, and has no direct reports.

Responsibilities

Conduct research in electrochemistry and electrocatalysis

Perform and supervise experiments on electrochemical evaluation of catalytic materials

Characterise samples using transmission electron microscopy

Complete experiments and provide timely analysis

Publish results in peer-reviewed journals

Contribute to scientific papers, reports, and proposals

Collaborate with industry partners

Present findings at conferences

Assist in training PhD and honours students

Adhere to UNSW’s Code of Conduct and health and safety policies

Candidate Profile

To be successful, you should have :

Experience in electrochemical procedures and materials characterisation

Skills in electrochemical measurements, image processing, and data analysis

Experience in materials synthesis

Research experience and ability to mentor students

Strong publication and presentation record

Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively

Commitment to UNSW’s values and health and safety policies
