Job descriptionPrevious experience in an industrial cleaning or maintenance role is preferred Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve standing bending lifting and manual dexterity Attention to detail and the ability to spot and remove contaminants from the shredder equipment effectively Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Good communication skills to interact with supervisors operators and other team members
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Shredder Cleaner to join our team for the afternoon shift Monday-Friday 2 : 30pm-11 : 00pm . As a Shredder Cleaner you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our shredding equipment. Your role will involve removing debris and ensuring optimal performance.
What youre responsible for :
- Clean and maintain shredding equipment including conveyor systems screens magnets and other components to ensure optimal performance and prevent contamination
- Remove unwanted materials such as non-metallic objects dirt and other contaminants from the shredder and its surrounding areas to prevent damage and maintain efficiency
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a safe work environment
- Adhere to lockout / tagout procedures and other safety practices
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the shredder area ensuring the removal of debris proper waste disposal and general housekeeping tasks
