Toromont Reman is seeking a Technical Trainer to join their team in Bradford. In this role, you will provide valuable support to our technicians and customers through your technical expertise on the Caterpillar product line. You will also be responsible for developing and delivering industry leading technical training for Heavy Equipment.

In a typical day, YOU will :

Deliver on the job and classroom training to Production Associates

Develop and enhance Toromont Remanufacturing Employee Development curriculum

Evaluate Production Associate competencies for potential progression opportunities

Develop training content in alignment with Caterpillar’s established standards

Remain current with product updates

Collaborate with Process Engineering and Quality Assurance

Contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of training equipment to ensure safe and effective learning experiences.

Must-haves for this role :

A vocational diploma or valid license (421A) in heavy duty mechanics combined with a minimum of 5 years experience as an equipment technician is required. Candidate experience should extend beyond maintenance, parts replacement and visual inspection. Candidates should have solid expertise in calibration and diagnostic processes and tools

Communication skills are essential. In order to convey knowledge, the trainer must be attentive and focused on the group. Motivated and autonomous, candidates must work professionally with a minimum of supervision

Candidates should be comfortable using office software such as PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Video conferencing, etc.

Successful candidates will have a deep working knowledge of engine, hydraulic, electrical and transmission systems. The Toromont team will support the development of the trainer related to Caterpillar specific products

Toromont Technical Trainers are ambassadors of good practices and therefore must behave in an exemplary manner, particularly in terms of customer relations and Health and Safety at work
