SYLVIS has extensive knowledge of residuals and a proven ability to implement residuals management programs. SYLVIS replaces fertilizers and other soil amendments with residuals in agriculture, mining, forestry and biomass plantations. SYLVIS’ mission is to Make Waste History by introducing residuals back into the environment for ecological and societal benefit. SYLVIS is searching for a Business Development Manager to contribute to increasing revenue growth through sales.
Mission of the Business Development Manager :
Reporting to the General Manager, the Business Development Manager is accountable for implementing the sales strategy to achieve revenue goals. This individual will identify sales opportunities, nurture and grow new and existing customer relationships and understand what it takes to be successful within a long, complex sales cycle, with multiple stakeholders. The Technical Sales Representative has a proven track record working with municipalities, other governmental organizations, landowners, and other end users.
The Responsibilities :
- Works with the GM and the sales team to execute tactics and processes required to deliver on the sales strategy
- Champions the sales strategy by winning new municipal and industrial generator contracts, and concurrently winning new landowners to beneficially use the residuals
- Articulates critical numbers, accounts for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual production,
- Understands the competitive landscape, knows top competitors and market trends, makes strategy decisions that are based on data
- Accountable for ensuring the sales pipeline is accurate and predictable when forecasting net new revenue
- Works well with technical sales team, has a sense of humour, develops instant rapport, moves past gate keepers, gets to decision makers
- Maintains a deep understanding of clients and genuinely cares
- Differentiates SYLVIS from the competition, continuously validates and improves the sales strategy by analyzing and interpreting reasons behind lost and won contracts
