The Opportunity
Provides expertise in business intelligence to develop and deliver data and information products for internal and external customers and stakeholders. Carries out complex needs assessment, identifies opportunities to optimize use of data and information extracted from internal and external sources, and determines optimal methods to deliver resulting products to meet business needs.
Status : Regular, Full-Time, Union
Number of Positions : 1
Pay Grade : 16 ($46.27 - $53.59 per hour)
Location : Open to any of our BC regional offices (hybrid work environment)
Reports to : Leader, Business Intelligence
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will :
- Provides input to development of approaches to influence change through data, information and knowledge, and participates in the change effort.
- Designs, develops, and delivers complex data and information products that are scalable and accessible to internal and external customers through reporting, self-serve, and user-friendly query methods.
- Participates in experimental design, applying creativity and exploring innovative solutions to address client-specific needs. Tests information products, evaluates findings, and redesigns as necessary to deliver required outcomes.
- Carries out due diligence in compliance with processes, practices and standards to ensure product development is executed with cost-effective, timely, and operationally efficient results.
- Collaborates with IT department in identifying optimal solutions and delivering information services throughout the organization.
- Collaborates with leaders to assess and advise on business intelligence needs, and determines optimal methods and products to support achievement of business objectives.
- Supports the Leader and Senior Business Intelligence Analyst in providing communication and advice that encourages client behavioural change through use of data and information products.
- Provides input to reports, presentations and business cases in support of business intelligence program initiatives.
- Proactively resolves complex product development issues and challenges.
- Conducts research and continuously maintains knowledge and awareness of the business intelligence practices, methods and related industry trends.
