Summary : The Development Manager I for Renewable Energy Systems is responsible for the day-to-day aspects of utility-scale renewable generation project development including project identification, site control, due-diligence, and overall development of utility scale renewable energy projects from greenfield to financial close.
Requirements :
- Coordinates with internal RES teams to apply fundamental site selection criteria (land ownership, resource and revenue potential, access to existing transmission lines, constructability, to identify prospective project sites.
- Directly engaging landowners to determine interest in project participation.
- Plans and manages land acquisition strategies, including management of external land acquisition contractors.
- Represents RES America Developments Inc. in community settings and in front of individual landowners and large landowner groups.
- Leads all commercial aspects of land acquisition negotiations and coordinating with legal counsel to negotiate and execute land control documentation.
- Coordinates with RES teams to manage and conduct environmental due diligence and permitting work.
- Coordinates with RES teams to manage and conduct interconnection / transmission processes.
- Coordinates with RES engineering and construction teams to conduct constructability due diligence.
- Generates project budgets, schedules, risk assessments and stage gate approvals.
- Manages a portfolio of dozens of utility scale solar photovoltaic development assets.
- Assists in any power marketing activities or project sales.
- Maintains a deep understanding of regulatory, and market forces for the regions in which they are developing.
- Follows safety and security procedures and determines appropriate action. Reports potentially unsafe conditions and uses materials and equipment properly.
- Attends work regularly and punctually, as scheduled or expected.

Anticipated base salary range : $111,000- $120,000The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
