We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Warehouse Materials Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record in warehouse operations, inventory management, and safety compliance, ready to take ownership of the day-to-day packaging and material handling activities.
Key Responsibilities
The Warehouse Materials Coordinator will be responsible for a wide range of tasks critical to the efficient and safe operation of the warehouse, including :
Packaging and Storage :
Packaging manufactured product following established procedures.
Ensuring the correct labelling and storage of packaged product for efficient retrieval and inventory accuracy.
Inventory Management :
Maintaining packaging materials inventory, including executing monthly full inventory counts and reconciliation to ensure adequate supply levels.
Safety and Compliance :
Completing Job Safety Analysis (JSA) where required for tasks performed within the Warehouse boundaries.
Issuing safe work permits for all permitted work within the Warehouse boundaries.
Managing the isolation of packaging equipment as required, including completing all necessary Isolation Documents.
Maintenance and Equipment :
Performing inspection, cleaning, and preventative maintenance on warehouse packaging equipment.
Coordinating with the Maintenance Department, when required, on plant-site equipment issues or projects.
Facility Upkeep :
Maintaining the cleanliness of the Warehouse and surrounding area to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
Decision-Making :
Making decisions and recommendations within established guidelines, procedures, or policies and up to those within authorized limits.
Qualifications
Experience :
15+ years of relevant experience in warehouse operations, material handling, packaging, and inventory management is required.
Education :
High school diploma or GED is required.
Relevant post-secondary education would be considered an asset.
Skills & Requirements :
Must be available for on-call work as required.
Strong understanding of safety protocols including JSA and equipment isolation procedures.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
