Job description

What you’ll do:

  • Engage and interact with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.

  • Ensure department standards are met with inventory, ordering, stocking, merchandising, and displaying products.

  • Work with customers and contractors to answer inquiries about lumber and yard products.

  • Receiving of product in the yard and in store and complete required paperwork.

  • Ensure proper maintenance and housekeeping.

  • Be familiar with and follow all safety procedures.

  • Work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays on a rotational basis.

  • Demonstrate day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

  • You have Grade 10 education or equivalent retail and/or customer service experience.

  • Ability to regularly lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.

  • You are action oriented, customer focused and work well with other Team Members.

  • You are honest, trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive for excellence in your work.

  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver meaningful solutions, valuing diverse perspectives to achieve shared objectives.

  • You are customer-focused and passionate about delivering exceptional service and building lasting relationships.

  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members, leadership and customers.
