Job description

Position Overview

Under the general supervision of the Manager, Patient Food Services or Designate, and while demonstrating a commitment to the Mission, Values and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the COORDINATOR - FOOD PRODUCTION is responsible for ensuring a high quality of service and accuracy through efficient operation and planning of work; supervision of Patient Food Services employees and area; procurement of specific patient and office related products; participation in hiring, training and conducting of contribution assessment reviews; scheduling and payroll functions; participation in quality management programs and performing other related duties and responsibilities as required.

Experience

  • Two (2) years experience within the last four (4) years working directly in Food Services is an asset.
  • Experience with CBORD Diet Office Management software system is an asset.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Grade 12 or recognized equivalent.
  • Successful completion of an approved Food Services Supervisor’s course or equivalent.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

  • Valid Food Handler Training Certificate required.
  • Membership with the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management is preferred.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficiency in the use of common software application, preferably the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to supervise and direct in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Mature, professional manner.
