A.S.P. is looking for Baggage Cart Attendants to provide an exceptional passenger experience while guiding customers throughout parking lot, parkade and within the terminal Winnipeg Airport. Cart Attendants are committed to providing the highest level of quality service and continuing our track record of outstanding safety and customer satisfaction.
What you will do :
- Demonstrate a welcoming and approachable demeanor, actively seeking to engage with passengers and always delivering a smile as well as eye contact.
- Greet Customers in official languages (“Hello / Bonjour”) and respond / comply Canada’s official languages, provide direction, exceptional customer service and assistance to all passengers
- Actively offering physical assistance with loading and unloading luggage
- Offer guidance and wayfinding information to oversize bag drop areas and pre-board screening areas. Possess agility and stamina to stand / walk for extended durations and lift baggage.
- Monitors baggage cart serviceability, recognize unserviceable carts and segregate them for maintenance or refurbishment
- Ensure carts are always available in all staging areas and planning for cart replenishment to accommodate passenger peak times.
- Practices safety conscious behaviours and situational awareness
- Actively monitor the parkades and lots for tidiness, safety, operational readiness and being an active presence to make sure there is no accidents, damage or vandalism.
- Responds to any dispatch call pertaining to the parking equipment, ticket / card jams, replenishing ticket stock or troubleshooting where needed.
- Knowledgeably answers inquiries regarding flight schedules, fares and other questions that arise.
- Basic understanding of the airport Campus operations, roles and responsibilities of tenants / airlines / YWG and OneCall.
Who you are :
Minimum High School diploma or Grade 12 education will accept equivalent experience.Fully bilingual in both French and English an asset.Minimum of six (6) months verifiable experience in customer service or any equivalent.Eligible to work in Canada.Physically capable of performing all duties as set out in the Job / Position Description physical demands of the position require the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time during the shift ability to walk long distances and the ability to lift and relocate stanchions in order to effectively manage and adjust queues;Physical requirement being able to lift 70 pounds (32 kg) on a regular basis.Self-motivated individual with a strong attention to detail.Excellent written & verbal communication and active listening skills.Able to work in Rotation 24 / 7 shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Must be willing to provide Criminal Record check upon request.Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)Stand, lift, bend, push and pull on a frequent basis and for extended periodsWhy you should work with A.S.P :
