Job description
Our Mississauga client is in the automotive parts sector is looking for a highly organized individual to join their purchasing staff to manage overseas shipments. This is a 12-14 month mat leave contract.
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years experience, be a comfortable user of the Microsoft Suite of applications (especially Excel), as well as possess good spoken and written English skills. The candidate should have a purchasing certification / education on a university / college level.
Responsibilities :
- Manage overseas freight and logistics
- Experience of dealing with custom or custom broker, freight agents / forwarders
- Arrange with truckers to pickup shipment from bonded warehouses
- Handling shipments coming through oversea to Canada / USA.
- Experience coordinating freight logistics and knowledge of transportation documentation (i.e. Customs, NAFTA, Bill of lading) are assets
- Knowledge of car / truck parts an asset
- Some purchasing experience
Salary : to 55k, with benefits
