Are you a film, media, or communications student with a passion for video production and a drive to build real-world professional experience? The National Notary Association is seeking a full-time Video Production Intern to join our Communications team for approximately 3 months. This hands-on internship offers direct exposure to every stage of the video production process, from on-set production support to post-production editing, with content that reaches a national audience. You will work closely with our Senior Visual Producer, contributing to professional projects and developing the skills, credits, and confidence to launch your career in media. This full-time position requires a hybrid schedule with the ability to commute to our Chatsworth, CA, headquarters office. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Assist the Senior Visual Producer onsite with video shoots, supporting equipment setup, camera operation, audio monitoring, and breakdown.
• Serve as an Assistant Editor on post-production projects, developing hands-on fluency in Adobe Premiere Pro through real editing assignments with structured feedback at every stage.
• Edit short-form social media content and longer YouTube pieces under close supervision, with revision rounds that are part of the learning process.
• Work within the Adobe Creative Suite, including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator, adapting and implementing design assets and motion graphics templates prepared by the NNA’s Design Team.
• Assist with pre-production preparation tasks such as equipment checklists, location prep, and run-of-show documents as your familiarity grows.
• Collaborate with the Communications team, including the Senior Visual Producer, Social Media Specialist, and Design Team, to support production workflows and content delivery.
• Gain contextual understanding of how video content fits within the NNA’s broader Communications goals, including exposure to audience behavior and content performance.
• Work on-site at NNA’s Chatsworth, CA office as needed for shoots, collaborative projects, and team meetings.

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS

• Diploma or equivalent required; currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a Film, Media Production, Communications, or related degree program preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in video production through coursework, student projects, or personal creative work.
• Some familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar non-linear editing software. Experience with other Adobe Creative Suite applications is a plus.
• A collaborative, team-oriented attitude with a genuine desire to learn, take direction, and grow.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a structured, professional production environment.
• Interest in or exposure to social media video formats and YouTube content is a plus.

SALARY

• $20.00 per hour
