Role : Buyer
Location : Laval
Salary : $60,000–$65,000
Work Arrangement : Bilingual, On-site
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate with approved suppliers to ensure the continuity of supply and work closely with various departments to support and meet the company’s operational needs.

Responsibilities
Support daily operations, sales, and finance by providing consistent assistance.
Create and manage purchase orders as well as all related procurement documentation.
Oversee transportation (rail and road) and warehouse distribution in coordination with operations.
Ensure accuracy and proper management of procurement documents (requests, purchase orders, correspondence, quotes, processes, etc.).
Proactively resolve procurement issues and expedite orders when necessary.
Maintain relationships with approved suppliers and explore cost-saving opportunities for ad-hoc purchases.
Negotiate with suppliers to optimize costs, prevent price increases, and ensure quality and service.
Assist with monthly inventory reconciliation in collaboration with operations and finance.
Comply with established policies and procedures while ensuring optimal inventory management.
Monitor deliveries closely and relay necessary information to relevant parties.
Reconcile disputed documents with accounts payable and operations.
Prepare detailed reports on key responsibilities as directed by the manager.
Perform any other assigned tasks as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma required; university degree preferred.
Experience in raw material purchasing.
Minimum 5 years of supply chain experience.
Proven experience in office and communication environments.
Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel.
Comfortable with computerized systems.
Alert, stress-resilient, and results-oriented.
Strong experience in manufacturing, procurement, and international supply chain management (USA / Canada).
Familiarity with software such as JDE, AS-400, etc.
Experience in MRO purchasing.
Proven skills in contract negotiation.
Bilingual proficiency : 9 / 10.
Availability for urgent matters outside regular hours (very rarely).
Honest and respectful.
