Sentry Fire Protection Services is a family-owned organization with over 45 years in the Industry. Sentry Fire Protection Services is looking for an Experienced Sprinkler Fitter with a 427A Licensed as a Journeyman. The successful candidate will be based in the Chatham and Windsor area with potential work in the Sarnia area. They will be able to work independently, multi task, lead by example and be self motivated with a focus on customer care.

Responsibilities

You will mainly be responsible for :

Perform monthly, semi-annual and annual inspections along with maintenance repairs

Installation and or repairs on water based sprinkler system, foam systems, gas agent systems and fire pump equipment.

Fabricate, install, test, maintain and repair sprinkler systems in buildings for fire protection purposes.

Candidate needs to be a member in good standing with Local 853 or in the process of gaining membership with Local 853;

Experience with service, installation and testing of all water based suppression systems, foam systems, gas agent systems and fire pump equipment necessary;

Safety first Attitude;

Ability to read and interpret Blue Prints;

Backflow testing certificate (an asset);

Ability to work independently when required;

Work alongside and coordinate with other trades;

Team first mentality;

Qualifications :

Communicate, work well with others, and follow directions well

Have good dexterity and like to work with your hands

Enjoy working indoors or outdoors in all seasons

Like to solve problems and build solutions

Are physically fit with stamina for manual labour

Have experience using hand and power tools

Are willing to follow safety guidelines at all times

Understand basic math

Have strong attention to detail

Are in good physical condition with good endurance

Are comfortable working at heights

Hands-on experience in working with piping materials and tools

Fall Protection / Working at Heights training

Elevated Work Platform Training

Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter

Valid G Ontario driver’s license and clean Drivers Abstract

Prior experience in construction is an asset
