Job description

Reporting to the Director of Patient Programs, the Senior Program Manager will be responsible for inspiring and leading a team of Program Managers in developing and executing patient support programs. The role will include direct oversight of a team of Program Managers and accountability for the delivery of patient care, operational quality, and partner satisfaction for those patient support programs. The role will require you to develop and maintain strong working relationships with partners and stakeholders. It will also require you to create collaborative networks internally and work cross-functionally with all organizational departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery of Patient Support Programs: Accountable for continuous process improvement and operational excellence of specific patient support programs and partner portfolios; Ensure delivery of programs to deliver targeted KPIs and metrics; Ensure operations are delivered in compliance with regulatory, partner and quality guidelines; Coach, and develop direct reports; Ensure strong team engagement across managed programs.
  • Co-create solutions with partners, program managers and cross-functional units to enhance the patient journey
  • Support our partners’ success: Accountable for continuous process improvement and operational excellence of specific patient support programs and partner portfolios; Ensure delivery of programs to deliver targeted KPIs and metrics; Ensure operations are delivered in compliance with regulatory, partner and quality guidelines; Coach, and develop direct reports; Ensure strong team engagement across managed programs.
  • Provide support in RFPs, contract negotiations and program launches
  • Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge on industry trends
  • Support the Director of Patient Programs in special projects/initiatives which may include planning, resource allocation, financial reviews and implementation of change
  • Responsible to report any patient safety information as per adverse event reporting requirements and product quality complaints reporting requirements
  • Review of accuracy of all invoices.

Key Qualifications
  • Experience building and leading strong collaborative, cross functional teams with both internal and external stakeholders
  • University business/healthcare degree, or equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in partner relationship and account management
  • Minimum of 2 years experience leading teams and coaching direct reports
  • A minimum of 2 years experience leading patient support programs or other business process outsourcing delivery teams, preferably in a health care setting
  • Significant experience in project management and change management, with a demonstrated ability to effectively manage timelines to ensure delivery of project objectives
  • Demonstrated solutions, results, and people-oriented leader
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, as well as strong presentation skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects/tasks
  • Good understanding of multi-channel contact centre operations, preferably on a distributed basis
  • General understanding of pharmacovigilance requirements
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and budgeting
  • Familiarity with electronic data management systems
  • Bilingual proficiency in written and verbal English and French is an asset
  • Project management designation/certificate is a strong asset.

The expected compensation range for this role is $110,000 to $125,000.
