A career as a Portfolio Associate, Managed Accounts at National Bank Independent Network means acting as a key operational expert supporting modelled investment portfolios. This role allows you to have a direct impact on portfolio integrity, risk mitigation, and client experience through your expertise in portfolio administration, trade support, and investment operations.

You play a central role in ensuring that modelled account strategies are executed accurately and consistently, while supporting sponsor firms and internal partners in a highly regulated and fast-paced environment. You are at the intersection of data accuracy, operational excellence, and collaboration.

Your role

• Ensure the administration and operational integrity of modelled investment portfolios across multiple sponsor firms

• Coordinate and oversee portfolio rebalancing activities, including model updates, trade generation, and allocation validation

• Act as a primary point of contact for internal partners, trading desks, portfolio managers, and external sponsor firms on portfolio administration matters

• Manage reconciliation processes between portfolio management systems and the book of record to ensure accurate positions, pricing, performance, and reporting

• Investigate and process mandatory and voluntary corporate actions while ensuring accurate downstream reporting and risk mitigation

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize workflows, documentation, and operational processes

Your team

NBIN brings together specialists who work collaboratively and proactively to support investment programs while ensuring strong governance and operational rigor.

Within the Modelled Account Program department, you are part of a dedicated team supporting multiple sponsor firms and will report to the Manager, Modelled Account Program. The team stands out for its strong expertise in investment operations, its collaborative mindset, and its focus on precision and service quality.

The Bank values continuous development and internal mobility. Our personalized training programs, based on learning through action, allow you to master your role and develop new areas of expertise. Tools such as the Data Academy, language training, the Harvard Learning Center, and coaching and mentoring support are available to you at all times.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, combined with at least five years of relevant experience in wealth management, portfolio administration, or investment operations

• Experience working with portfolio management, portfolio accounting, custody, and/or client reporting systems

• Experience supporting trade processing, reconciliation, corporate actions, and fee administration in an investment operations environment

• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners

• Client oriented mindset with a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a structured and autonomous manner

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel

The current work schedule is hybrid in nature (four in office days). Full-time office presence is required during training. You may also be required to work from the office on a full-time basis, as business needs evolve.
