A career as a Portfolio Associate, Managed Accounts at National Bank Independent Network means acting as a key operational expert supporting modelled investment portfolios. This role allows you to have a direct impact on portfolio integrity, risk mitigation, and client experience through your expertise in portfolio administration, trade support, and investment operations.
You play a central role in ensuring that modelled account strategies are executed accurately and consistently, while supporting sponsor firms and internal partners in a highly regulated and fast-paced environment. You are at the intersection of data accuracy, operational excellence, and collaboration.
Your role
• Ensure the administration and operational integrity of modelled investment portfolios across multiple sponsor firms
• Coordinate and oversee portfolio rebalancing activities, including model updates, trade generation, and allocation validation
• Act as a primary point of contact for internal partners, trading desks, portfolio managers, and external sponsor firms on portfolio administration matters
• Manage reconciliation processes between portfolio management systems and the book of record to ensure accurate positions, pricing, performance, and reporting
• Investigate and process mandatory and voluntary corporate actions while ensuring accurate downstream reporting and risk mitigation
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to optimize workflows, documentation, and operational processes

Within the Modelled Account Program department, you are part of a dedicated team supporting multiple sponsor firms and will report to the Manager, Modelled Account Program. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree, combined with at least five years of relevant experience in wealth management, portfolio administration, or investment operations
• Experience working with portfolio management, portfolio accounting, custody, and/or client reporting systems
• Experience supporting trade processing, reconciliation, corporate actions, and fee administration in an investment operations environment
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners
• Client oriented mindset with a high standard of professionalism and confidentiality
• Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a structured and autonomous manner
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, specifically Excel
