Accounts Receivable / Payable Representative

JOB DESCRIPTION :
- Assemble, review and verify invoices and cheque requests, Sorting, coding and data entry vendor and manufacturer invoices
- Verify and match invoices to purchase orders
- Process bi-weekly cheque run
- Process monthly business office remittances
- Reconcile manufacturer statements, reconcile sublet and payables schedules and reconcile electronic transfer payments account
- Post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records
- Receive monthly credit card statements, gather receipts and prepare for payment, reconcile accounts payable records with vendor statements.
- Prepare monthly analysis of expense accounts using Microsoft Excel
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries
- Prepare and complete month end expense posting & closing
- Track and reconcile all Prepaid and Accrual accounts
- Provide supporting documentation for audits
- Balancing of Intercompany Accounts on a monthly basis
REQUIREMENTS :
- Post-secondary education
- 1-3 years accounts payable or general accounting experience -Have working knowledge of the accounting cycle
- Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Good communication, both verbal and written skills
- CDK experience is an asset
- Knowledge of other DMS systems may be considered (Reynold & Reynolds)
- Automotive accounting experience is an asset
