What- the Role :
On client is seeking an Accounts Payable Administrator to join their tightknit team of 10 in Accounting & Finance (2 people in AP, including this role). This is a newly created role due to company growth and increasing business needs. The AP Administrator will ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments (approximately 400 invoices / month). Additionally, the AP Administrator will address and resolve inquiries from vendors and other stakeholders, monitor AP aging reports to ensure timely payments, conduct credit card reconciliations, verify employee expense reports and process reimbursements, prepare AP reports, etc. The AP Administrator will also get to help the team with ongoing AP process improvements and system optimization. The AP Administrator will be using Acumatica and Excel.
This company’s accounting team is very collaborative, and they help each other out as needed. The AP Administrator will be using a cloud-based accounting system and plenty of Excel.
Who- the Candidate :
We are looking for candidates with at least 2 years of relevant work experience within a corporate accounting department, with prior responsibilities in AP and / or clerical accounting. Relevant post-secondary education is strongly preferred, such as a diploma or certificate in accounting. We are looking for people who are organized, detail-oriented, accurate, reliable, and collaborative. Qualified candidates will have a friendly, clear, and professional communication style, and will be happy to answer AP-related questions and resolve AP-related issues. Experience in a complex multi-entity public company with operations across multiple Canadian provinces is beneficial. Intermediate proficiency in Excel is required, and experience using a cloud-based accounting system is an asset.
How Much :
Competitive base salary commensurate with level of skills, experience, and accounting qualifications, likely in the range of $52,000 to $60,000. The company will provide their new Accounts Payable Administrator with a solid overall compensation package, including paid vacation and good health & dental benefits.
Where :
HYBRID . Our client is headquartered in the Tri-Cities area of Greater Vancouver, and this is a great commute for someone living in Coquitlam , Port Coquitlam , Port Moody , Pitt Meadows, Surrey, Burnaby, etc. Located right off the highway. The AP Administrator will work 3+ days / week in the office during initial training, and long-term likely 2 days / week in office (or employees can choose to work from the office full-time, if preferred) .
