Job Description :

A full-time accounting clerk is needed by our client, who we have been working with for years! This boutique ,downtown Vancouver law firm focuses on tax, estate, and trust planning and administration. Our client is renowned for its expertise in these areas and for keeping up with the most recent legal advancements while promoting a cooperative workplace.

What You'll Do :

  • The right candidate verifies and processes credit cards, checks, and cost reimbursements.
  • Overseeing daily bank deposits and write-offs of accounts receivable
  • Payroll posting and monitoring, including transactions for online legal services
  • Maintaining journal entries and handling payroll
  • Obtaining signatures and preparing trust checks
  • Keeping track of monthly tax remittances and bank reconciliations
  • Creating and disseminating financial reports electronically.
  • Assisting with safeguarding administration, independent assessments, and audits
  • Carrying out additional administrative and financial tasks as needed
  • Tracking various receivables

    • What You'll Need :

  • Completion of an accounting certificate or diploma is required
  • Minimum of two years of accounting experience in a related role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a high-paced environment
  • Problem-solving mindset with a willingness to learn
  • High level of initiative and ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information

    • Candidates for this position must be detail-oriented, with strong organizational and computer skills, willing to show initiative and able to meet deadlines. Good working knowledge of Excel a definite asset. Full training will be provided
