Job Title : Assistant Controller - Contract Assignment
Location : Burlington – Hybrid
Job Overview :
We are seeking an Assistant Controller for a contract assignment. The right candidate is an independent worker with great analytical skills and experience working with ERP systems. Experience in year-end audit preparation, data cleanup and operational accounting required.
Key Responsibilities :
- Preparing for year-end audit and ensuring all necessary documentation is ready.
- Handling extensive data cleanup tasks
- Performing operational accounting tasks, (Bank and account reconciliations, GL analysis)
- Verifying sub-ledgers within a project based environment
Requirements :
1. Experience in accounting, finance and year-end audit preparation.
2. Strong analytical skills and detailed understanding of general ledger reconciliations and analysis
3. Proven independent working skills, preferably having prior Big 4 Auditing experience.
4. Strong preference will be given to individuals with a solid understanding of operational and project accounting aspects, including Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting.
5. Ability to work with key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate an auditor's mindset and a tech-savvy approach.
