Your role

  • Execution and completion of a wide range of Audit, Review and Compilation engagements, both independently and as part of a team
  • Analyze financial information, accounting processes and operational procedures; provide account reconciliations and propose adjusting entries
  • Preparation of personal, corporate, non-profit organization information and charitable tax returns
  • Collaborate with peers and senior management on file planning and completion within time constraints
  • Provide personal, attentive service to clients to encourage productive working relationships

What you bring to the table

  • Completion of an Accounting Program – College or University
  • Related work experience in public accounting or within a small to medium sized business would be an asset
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and technical competencies to execute work at the direction received up front from other experienced staff using Caseware / Caseview, TaxPrep, QuickBooks Online and / or any other tax preparation software. Any prior experience with these programs is an asset
  • Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication, project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to detect and solve problems
  • Sound judgement regarding confidential information and sensitive matters
  • Professional manner, strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong understanding of a client-focused fast paced work environment including related deadlines and the ability to work to consistently meet those deadlines
  • The ability to accept feedback and apply feedback to future engagements
