Job descriptionAssumer la responsabilité de la prestation de solutions de qualité qui procureront les avantages prévus du projet et qui sont harmonisées avec les responsables des processus de RH pour les modules de suivi des heures et de paie dans Workday. Supporter l’organisation pour favoriser la conception de processus dans Workday en sollicitant, en analysant et en documentant les besoins opérationnels et en fournissant des exigences détaillées du système. Superviser l’adoption de Workday et des meilleures pratiques dans la communauté de McGill pour le suivi des heures (en tirant parti des rapports de Workday). Gérer l’administration des processus et du flux de travail au sein de son secteur fonctionnel (p. ex., surveiller l’approbation). Diplôme de premier cycle en comptabilité, en finance ou dans tout autre domaine connexe. Au moins cinq (5) ans d’expérience connexe. Excellente connaissance des processus de paie et de rémunération. Excellentes connaissance et compréhension de l’environnement d’enseignement supérieur et de ses politiques et procédures de RH pour le personnel administratif et enseignant, un atout. Capacité à comprendre les besoins et les exigences de la personne responsable des processus et à formuler des recommandations au besoin. Fortes habiletés en communication et en documentation. Responsible for delivering quality solutions that will deliver the intended project benefits and are aligned with the HR Process Owner(s) for time tracking and payroll modules in Workday. Navigate the organization to drive process design in Workday by soliciting, analyzing, and documenting business needs and providing detailed system requirements. This includes preparing design documents and other technical documentation to support the business application. Design, configure, test, and document new solutions to meet the clients’ business requirements, needs, and objectives. Plan and support test execution by business owners / centers of expertise for change acceptances and sign off. Elaborate business test conditions and expected results for the system configuration testing and user acceptance testing. Sign-off on functional designs of integrations with Third Party vendors. Establish the needs for Change Management & Training in their area. Viewed as a subject matter expert in Workday for Time Tracking and Payroll Workday modules. Manage the Focus Group for their functional area : Facilitate user sessions, gather, and prioritize requests for enhancements coming from the McGill community. Oversee the adoption of Workday and of best practices across McGill’s community for time tracking (leveraging Workday reports). Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance or any other related field. A minimum of five years of relevant experience. Excellent knowledge of payroll and compensation processes. Strong knowledge and understanding of the higher education environment and of its HR policies and procedures for both administrative and academic staff is an asset. Ability to understand process owner needs and requirements and make recommendations as appropriate. Strong communication and documentation skills. Team player with ability to partner with peers when integrating functionalities across functional areas. Bilingualism, English and French, spoken and written.

McGill University Human Resources implemented core modules of Workday (WD) SaaS in 2020. A team of Functional Business Analysts (FBA) was created to configure and maintain McGill's HR business processes within WD. The members of our FBA team are the subject matter experts who work with our Human Resources functional areas or Centres of Expertise to maintain, simplify and standardize our HR management processes for both administrative and academic staff. The present search seeks a Senior FBA to support, configure and enhance the Payroll and Time Tracking modules in WD with the goal of improving functionality and service delivery.
