What does a Control Room Site Supervisor in Calgary do?

  • Lead and supervise daily operations, ensuring adherence to established processes and procedures.
  • Develop, review, and update SOPs, SLAs, and response protocols to enhance operational efficiency and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Implement and maintain new technologies and systems, including PISM, call management tools, and emergency notification systems, to enhance operational capabilities.
  • Act as a key point of contact for operational issues, escalating concerns to higher management when necessary.
  • Monitor team performance and provide ongoing feedback to drive improvements and maintain high-quality service.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in crisis management or emergency response situations.
  • Be a liaison between the client, tenants and employees
  • Facilitate safety meetings
  • Generate attendance reports in the event of an emergency condition
  • Qualifications to become a Control Room Site Supervisor :

  • Valid Alberta Security License
  • Be eligible to work in Canada full time
  • Experience developing, updating, and maintaining SOPs, SLAs, and response procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate team members.
  • Strong knowledge of implementing and managing technologies such as PISM, call management systems, and emergency notification tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Experience with monitoring and operation of video and surveillance systems
  • Available to work day shifts, with occasional flexibility for mentoring and supporting other shifts as required.
  • Minimum 1 year Control room / Dispatcher experience
  • Minimum 1 year Supervisor experience
