Sr Fullstack Developer

Our client, a public sector organisation in Alberta is looking for a Senior Fullstack developer to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with .NET / C#, modern front-end frameworks like Angular or React, and a strong understanding of cloud technologies.

Experience working with government or public sector clients is ideal.

This is a 1 year contract with potential to extend another couple years. Remote but some travel onsite may be needed so seeking applicants in Alberta.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain fullstack applications using .NET / C# on the backend and Angular or React on the front-end.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end functionalities.
• Implement cloud-based solutions using platforms like Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Develop APIs, services, and microservices to support application functionality.
• Ensure application performance, security, and scalability in compliance with government or public sector standards.
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to best practices in software development.
• Work with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Maintain documentation and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

• 8+ years of experience in fullstack development with .NET / C# and front-end frameworks like Angular or React.
• Strong understanding of web development technologies (React, Angular or similar)
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) for deploying and managing applications.
• Experience working in government or public sector projects is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in RESTful API design and integration.
• Knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL).
• Strong understanding of security best practices, particularly in public sector environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodologies.
• Experience with DevOps practices (CI / CD pipelines, containerization using Docker / Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of microservices architecture.
