Our client is seeking an Intermediate Business Intelligence Analyst to build dashboards with Power BI and perform data analysis using Python
Candidates must be located in Calgary with some on-site work required. 37.5 hour work week. Enhanced security clearance is required with 3 years of residency in Canada.
Must haves :
- 4+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence role building dashboards using Power BI or Business Objects
- 4+ years of experience using Python andapplying data modelling principles (Kimball Dimensional Modelling, etc)
- 4+ years of experience in database technologies and scripting using Oracle or SQL Server
- Experience with Big data frameworks / platforms (Hadoop, Cluster computing frameworks such as Spark, parallel computing)
Nice to haves :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with Computer Aided Dispatch systems, telephony, workforce management systems or radio systems.
Responsibilities :
- Use Python to perform data analysis of phone data including phone activity, scheduling, radio and CAD data and then load this data into reporting data sets.
- Assist with Power BI dashboard development using best practices.
- Assist with Power BI data modelling leveraging Power Query, Data Flows, Data Lakes etc.
- Enhance the data flow process for phone data to ensure a continuous flow of phone data during upgrade projects
