MINE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC (MILLWRIGHT) CO-OP (HAGERSVILLE PLANT)

CGC Inc. is currently hiring a Mine Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) Co-op for our Hagersville plant for a 1-year term.
Position Description :
- Conducting preventative maintenance programs and updating maintenance records.
- Assisting with corrective actions and required repairs.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, and drawings to determine work procedures.
- Performing housekeeping duties as required and maintaining a clean workstation.
Requirements :
- Currently working towards a Millwright certification.
- Proficient mechanical understanding.
- General welding and fabrication knowledge.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of hydraulics and preventative maintenance programs.
- Knowledge of belt drive equipment, conveyors and rock crushers.
- Well organized and demonstrates the ability to work safely.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates problem-solving skills and the ability to work as a team.
- Able to work in an underground mine environment.
Hourly wage : $34.73
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
