What you’ll do

• Lead the review of designs relating to complex development and third-party utility projects.
• Act as a key liaison between developers, engineers, internal staff and utility agencies.
• Ensure projects meet municipal standards, bylaws, and best practices
• Conduct site inspections to confirm compliance and acceptance, and / or identify deficiencies requiring resolution.

Requirements include a two-year diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution and a minimum of five years of directly related experience; eligibility for registration as an AScT with the Applied Science Technologists and Technicians of BC; and a valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

The successful candidate will work Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 a.m. – 4 : 30 p.m. (35 hours per week), with variation of work hours, flex days, and part-time work from home available.
