A School Psychologist is a trained professional who works within educational settings to support students' academic, social, emotional, and behavioral well-being.

They collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to identify and address learning challenges, emotional struggles, and behavioral issues that may impact a student's ability to thrive in school.

Through assessment, counseling, and intervention strategies, school psychologists strive to promote positive mental health, foster a supportive school environment, and enhance students' overall educational experience.

Position - School Psychologist

Team - Associated Professional

Hours - Part Time (0.8 FTE)

Schedule - 4 days per week (specific days, flexible)

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Master's Degree in School / Education Psychology

Eligible for membership in the BC Association of School Psychologists

Registered with the College of Psychologists

At least one year of successful school psycho-educational assessment experience in an educational setting or an equivalent supervised internship

Strong interpersonal and consultation skills

Clear, accurate communication via written reports

A copy of your master’s degree

A copy of the transcript (official or unofficial) for your program

Proof of a certified membership / registration with a relevant regulatory body in BC (ex : College of Psychologists)

PLEASE NOTE

The starting annual salary for this School Teacher position ranges from $50,000 to $104,000, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.

In accordance with the Criminal Record Review Act, successful applicants will be required to consent to a Criminal Record Check prior to employment.
