Job Description
Our client in a government organization has an immediate opening for a Bookkeeper! This is a 3 month contract (with a possibility to extend) and will be responsible for assisting the Controller in bookkeeping tasks focusing on Payroll and Accounts Payable.

Responsibilities :
- Assist the controller with bookkeeping functions
- Maintain all payroll records for employees and administer benefit plans
- Processing bi-weekly payroll
- Coordinating with different departments for AP invoices
- compile AP reporting for the final approvals
- Cheque runs.
- Prepare journal entries as needed and communications with the consumers.
Job Requirements
- Need someone with strong Payroll and AP experience.
- Background working in some sort of government organization is ideal.
- 2+ years of Bookkeeping experience.
- Must be able to take on hands-on accounting tasks.
