Reporting to the Guest Experience Director you will be required to :

• Coordinating, overseeing, and performing the installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of audio-visual systems in all public areas before, during, and after each performance.
• Providing technical expertise in managing audio, visual, and lighting equipment to ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality Guest Experiences.
• Setting up, operating, and maintaining audiovisual equipment and systems for various events and presentations

Responsibilities :

• Overseeing the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of audiovisual systems and networking equipment in public areas (Concessions, VIP, site entrance, etc.).
• Ensuring the safe installation of audio-visual systems, including the structure and rigging aspects.
• Executing and documenting daily and weekly inspections of audio-visual equipment in public areas.
• Leading and supervising small crews of local labor during setup and tear-down operations.
• Performing administrative duties, including preventive maintenance scheduling, budget forecasting, and planning.
• Facilitating communication between the tour and equipment suppliers (lighting, sound, video / projection, etc.).
• Independently conducting preventive maintenance and repairs of audiovisual and networking equipment.
• Archiving and maintaining maintenance logs, along with all documentation related to audiovisual elements.
• Training other personnel on the operations of front of house audiovisual equipment.
• Following and supporting equipment and inventory management procedures as per Cirque du Soleil policies.
• Utilizing tools and procedures provided by IHQ to maintain inventory and equipment data.
• Adhering to customs and logistics requirements regarding the transport of material with touring productions.
• Performing any other tasks to support the Guest Experience Director and department.

YOUR UNIQUE EXPERTISE

• College diploma (or equivalent) in electronics and IT technologies (or equivalent work experience).
• Five to eight years of relevant experience in the entertainment and events industry.
• Technical knowledge of projections and video systems (Absen LED Tiles, Panasonic Projectors).
• Technical knowledge of sound systems.
• Technical knowledge of networking hardware and network management.
• Good knowledge of basic rigging principles and ability to work safely at height.
• Knowledge of Microsoft applications for Windows.
• Flexibility, autonomy, and a team-spirited mindset.
• Good time management and communication skills.
• Strong sense of initiative, self-motivation, and attention to detail; ability to think outside the box.
• Ability to handle contingencies, work on simultaneous projects, and perform well under pressure.
• Available to tour full time and work in foreign countries
• Fluent in spoken and written English is essential. Fluency in French (an asset).
• Experience with iGotcha solutions and interactive environments (an asset).
• Basic knowledge of set and props repair (an asset).
• Personnel management experience (an asset).
