Role Summary
The Facilities MaintenanceTechnician will be responsible for repairing the daily wear and tear of thebuildings and restaurants being operated by the Kicking Horse Resort.
Reportingto the Facility, Fleet, & Purchasing Manager, this role will perform smallplumbing, carpentry, and painting repairs as needed.
Accountabilities
- General repairs including furniture; doors and doorclosures with accessories, drywall repair, painting and touch-ups
- Plumbing responsibilities including repairs oftoilets, urinals and sinks as well as hands-free activated plumbing
- Assist with repairs and maintenance in the kitchensand on heating equipment
- Carpentry duties including building and maintainingshelves, cabinets, sign bases ect.
- Maintain records of work completed and report onall shop related activities
- Initiate, manage and delegate daily workassignments with minimal supervision
- Compliance with all safety regulations of assignedtasks, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with activeparticipation in the health and safety program
- Adhere to all environmental policies and programsas required
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 5 years experience as a general laborer with handson experience with skilled trades
- Resort industry experience an asset
- Current valid driver’s license
- Ability to access all locations on mountain byskiing or snowboarding
