They are virtual characters with whom you can have fully fledged conversations. Our first product, https : / / spicychat.

ai / allows users to have both Safe For Work (SFW) and Not Safe For Work (NSFW) conversations.It already generates around 6 Millions of messages per day!

At SpicyChat, our vision is to transform entertainment without the limitations our competitors have. By utilizing the latest in AI technologies, we're pushing the envelope to create a space where users can freely interact with their favorite characters and explore fantasies one would not be able to otherwise.

While numerous platforms retreat behind content moderation and censorship to appease investors, we're taking a different path.

Of course, we maintain strict guidelines against illegal activities, and we ensure responsible moderation on all public pages.

But our fundamental belief is that everyone should have a safe, private space to explore their deepest desires.

Spicychat is the main product you will be focusing on but there is more to come down the line once we nailed this one. We are planning to extend the engineering team over the coming months.

Job Description

We are looking for a Front-End Web Developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming. Responsibilities will include translation of the UI / UX design wireframes to actual code that will produce visual elements of the application.

You will work with the UI / UX designer and bridge the gap between graphical design and technical implementation, taking an active role on both sides and defining how the application looks as well as how it works.

You will be responsible for the web architecture and applying best practices.

About the job

• Develop new user-facing features on both our new mobile app but also on our website
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use. Including cross-platform(reusable with react-native on mobile)
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI / UX designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability in a multi environment settings
• Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
• Improve existing code
• Fix bugs (both reported and unreported)
• Improve the architecture, refactor existing code, implement best practices.
• Deep understanding of react, redux and their ecosystem will be part of the requirements

About you

• You are honest, direct and passionate about everything frontend
• You have a very strong experience with React and Redux. ideally : React JS as well as HTML, CSS. JavaScript with typescript is a must.
• Web architecture, design patterns and easy-to-maintain code are part of your drive when making design decisions.
• You have experience with, or at least are curious about, cross platform libraries that enable both web and mobile to share code and UI components.
• You can implement solutions that are user responsive and efficient.
• You have good knowledge of the entire web development process.
• You are capable of discussing and implementing a resilient web architecture.
• You have a strong experience with testing and debugging.
• You have an eye for layout aesthetics.
• You are analytical and you have a keen eye for details and have an opinion on best practice, clean architecture.
• You have great problem-solving skills and you work well in a team and are able to think out of the box.
• You're curious about new technologies and you're driven to find ways to implement them in your work where it makes sense.
• You have experience with coaching and mentoring other developers.
• You can oversee and drive projects forward.
• You understand cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
• You understand the SEO principles and ensure that applications will adhere to them.
• You are autonomous : comfortable taking initiative to improve the code, fix bugs, etc.

About the Tech stack

• You are very proficient in React and ideally ReactJS as well, Typescript
• Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates
• Basic knowledge of image authoring tools, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on an image.
• Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Vite, AWS lambda, GitHub is a plus.
