The project :

This is an opportunity to work with Mace North America, to join a multi-billion-dollar aviation infrastructure program in Toronto, Canada.

This initiative aims to revolutionize the airport into one of the most advanced, sustainable, and passenger-friendly facilities in the world.

With a strong commitment to environmental conservation, the project aims to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and position the airport as a leader in environmental stewardship.

By integrating cutting-edge technology, the aviation infrastructure program will make air travel smarter, more efficient, and user-friendly, enhancing the quality of life by making travel more enjoyable and accessible.

  • You will be the relationship owner and primary contact for Mace executive team engagement, and responsible for ensuring efficient governance to achieve our strategic priorities.
  • You will be responsible for key client relationship management, and converting the client's vision into a deliverable onsite plan.

You'll be responsible for :

Project Management and Delivery

  • Project Oversight : Overseeing project timeframes and budgets, ensuring diligent management and timely identification of risks, challenges, and mitigations.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Ensuring successful project delivery in line with stakeholder expectations, effectively communicating strategies to clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Programme Management : Managing the timely sequencing, methodology, and production of staging plans from project inception through to post-completion.

Client and Team Management

  • Client and Consultant Management : Overseeing the management of client and consultant teams, ensuring effective collaboration and completion of projects in line with client expectations.
  • Internal and External Collaboration : Partnering with internal and external stakeholders to implement strategies, programs, and initiatives, promoting collaboration and stakeholder satisfaction.

Safety and Wellbeing

Safety First : Promoting Mace's value of Safety First, supporting the safety and wellbeing of all staff and sharing lessons learned through safety moments and the HSW framework.

Subject Matter Expertise and Guidance

  • Expert Guidance : Providing subject matter expertise and guidance to support the success of broader Mace projects and drive continuous improvement through best practices and lessons learned.
  • Management of Senior Staff : Managing a team of senior managers, managers, and assistant managers, fostering professional growth and ensuring effective team performance.

Strategic and Commercial Responsibilities

  • Strategic Alignment : Aligning project delivery with strategic initiatives, placing emphasis on construction to production, digital and data, service excellence, quality, assurance, and sustainability.
  • Commercial Activities : Performing non-project related roles such as business reporting, pipeline management, bidding, business development, resourcing, and commercial strategy as directed by the senior leadership team.

Environmental Responsibility

Net Zero Carbon Transition : Working collaboratively towards the goal of net zero carbon transition, identifying and managing associated carbon emissions and reductions during project delivery.

You'll need to have :

  • Extensive experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programs in the transportation sector.
  • Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen.
  • Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.
  • Experience working in the aviation infrastructure sector.
  • Experience in a senior project level position.
  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field or equivalent industry qualification or chartership.
  • Previous experience working with the GTAA (Greater Toronto Airports Authority) or equivalent
  • Industry qualification or chartership e.g. PgMP, PMI, CMI, DBIA.
