As the Senior Engineer, Networks & Telecommunication, you will lead the modernization of our evolving network landscape by providing reliable and scalable solutions that connect business critical infrastructure while developing new network capabilities.

THE ROLE

As the Senior Engineer, Networks & Telecommunication, you will :

  • Design and lead the implementation of cloud and on-premises networking technologies that provide best in class solutions for the business.
  • Design, build, deliver, and operate robust, efficient, and scalable technology solutions that align with our strategic business and technology goals.
  • Work closely with members of Aritzia's Technology team to plan, improve, and support our network infrastructure.
  • Provide exceptional tier 3 knowledge and support to resolve incident escalations.
  • Proactively research and evaluate new networking technologies and trends.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Identify and analyze monitoring trends to proactively correct problems and improve performance.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

The Senior Engineer, Networks & Telecommunication has :

  • Proven skills, education, and / or applicable certifications :
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent work experience preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in networking technologies preferred
  • Relevant expert level network certifications from Cisco, Palo Alto, Azure, etc. preferred
  • Experience with cloud-based network infrastructure based on Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, or Amazon AWS preferred
  • Hands-on experience with technologies such as Cisco routing / switching, Arista switching, Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba wireless, Zscaler security suite, Velocloud SD-WAN preferred
  • Hands-on experience with network automation and scripting including Python, PowerShell, and NetBox preferred
  • Experience deploying secure network designs including segmentation, least-privilege, and zero-trust networking
  • Experience in managing relationships with vendors and third-party service providers
  • A commitment to staying updated with the latest technologies and trends in network technologies

THE COMPENSATION

The typical hiring range for this position is $120,000-$140,000 CAD per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for bonus.
