Our client one of the top US insurance intermediaries is seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Client Advisor (CA) Commercial Division to join their Canadian team.
As a Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients, providing exceptional service, and cultivating strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Your expertise in commercial insurance lines, risk management, and client advisory will be instrumental in ensuring client satisfaction, driving growth, and contributing to the success of our brokerage.
Responsibilities :
- Client facing presenting and meeting with clients on a regular basis to assess risk.
- Advise on coverage for client’s business operations.
- Responsible for generating new business along with retaining existing business.
- Coordinate Renewal Strategy meeting with client and service team (to include a meeting agenda sent in advance and minutes along with action items / timelines).
- Prepare Limits Chart - to be updated after every renewal and amendment.
- Issue side-by-side analysis to client and presented as the renewal or new business offer to include full coverage offerings and uninsured exposures.
- Payment Terms + Premium Financing - This responsibility sits with the CSA however collection is owned by the CA.
- Responsible to facilitate the entire renewal 90-60 days in advance and manage process with CSA and TSA.
- Once renewal is in place and if the policy is an automatic renewal, all items above do not apply and can be serviced fully by the CSA / TSA assigned.
- Follow all procedures with Commercial Marketers for new business.
- All correspondence to be attached and documented in Broker Management System.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field an asset but not mandatory.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in commercial insurance account management, preferably in a brokerage or agency environment.
- Possession of RIBO designations.
- Strong expertise in commercial insurance lines, including Property, General Liability, Auto, and Umbrella / Excess.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a diverse commercial insurance book of business, handling large accounts, and delivering exceptional client service.
- In-depth knowledge of insurance policies, coverage forms, endorsements, and related industry regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex insurance risks, identify opportunities, and provide creative solutions.
- Proficiency in insurance agency management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant software applications.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and make informed decisions.
