Job Summary :
Our client in Waterloo, ON is looking for a Software Engineer Senior. This is a contract position.
What You Will Do :
If you would like to work with a great team on next generation in-vehicle user experience that will be used in millions of cars and trucks world-wide then we may have a role for you.
The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work on several challenging projects including improving build times, refactoring software components, and improving code quality.
As a Software Developer on the IVI Apps team, you will be involved in full lifecycle of Software Development building the future generations of award-winning infotainment software.
Basics :
- Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Computer / Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
- Experience in building software using build tools.
- Experience programming in C++ / Kotlin.
- Experience with unit-testing and mock frameworks.
- Software Development Experience in a production environment (Large scale CI / CD environments), with knowledge of CI / CD build and release at scale.
- Experience working with Continuous Integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins,Docker,Vagrant, GitHub Actions and knowledge of pipelines.
- Hybrid position.
Preferred :
- Experience in DevOps environment.
- Solid understanding of Android s AOSP.
- Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages.
- Proficiency in Linux or Unix is required.
- Proficiency with build languages like Maven, Gradle, Ant, Cmake, Ninja, Autotools etc.
